I agree that float bags are vital in a boat without bulkheads. It is amazing how quickly a boat can sink. Last winter I was at a pool session and was setting up for a re-entry and roll in a small whitewater boat without bulkheads or floatbags. Next things I know I was upside down six feet underwater beneath a rapidly sinking boat. Quite an odd sensation!
