OK, you asked about paddling in Montana on the Missouri - I have no 
knowledge of Montana specifically but...in South Dakota there are a couple 
of outfits offering tours on the Missouri (as well as other tributaries, 
e.g., The Cheyenne River with great fossil hunting).  These guys might know 
of others working on the N part of the Missouri too.

I've talked to Caleb at Dakota Adventures in Pierre, SD via phone.  Seems 
fairly knowledgeable.  Never paddled with him.  Again, he might know of 
other contacts - or he seemed very open to doing custom trips as requested 
so you might ask him about a jaunt to the northwest.
