People have been good about editing posts, you'll need to keep it up...

I broke my left arm and a bone in my right hand the other day - bad
ladder technique, resulting in a fall to my driveway.

Until I'm healed I won't be editing posts. Leaving in a paddlewise
footer
will be a guaranteed way to have a posting disappear. It's not personal,
typing is difficult for the moment.

Chill, Kirk. You're letting a little power go to your head.

Cheers,
Richard Culpeper

This comment is completely uncalled for. Right now, the man is typing with
one hand because he fell off a ladder, and does not have time to deal with
unnecessary mistakes. In addition, It's not that Kirk is a jerk, it's that
the software won't allow a post with all that other stuff at the bottom.
Kirk tends to this mailing list FOR FREE every dang day so we can have
access to some of the best paddling info on the internet, at no charge. I
know its the best because I have checked. The next best is paddling.net and
you have to sort through a lot of playing around to find info there. I like
playing around sometimes, but I get individual emails here and like the fact
that there is less of it here. On occasion I do think that Kirk cracks the
whip a TAD too much, but those occasions are rare and I will accept that in
tradeoff for the good information, the contact with other paddlers, most of
whom have a LOT more experience than me, and not having to deal with Yahoo,
IE Spam-Central. Marsanne

I'll come out of lurk mode to second this. As the previous
list-owner, I know how much thankless and unpaid work goes into this
list to keep it running smoothly without ads flashing at you
all over the place and the above cheap shot is not only uncalled
for but downright rude. Richard, I think you owe Kirk an apology.
I mean, sheesh! He's broken bones in both limbs and is still
concerned about bringing you the list at *no* charge to you! :-/

G'Day,

My sentiments exactly. Suspect it was one of those emails written in haste
and repented at leisure. (I've written a few like that) And thanks Kirk very
much for maintaining the list in such a sensitive and effective manner.

All the best, PeterO

Have you ever had one of your posts bounce back, unposted by Kirk? What I
think he is talking about is that if the system automatically bounces the post
he is not going to make the effort to write to you and send it back to you.
The post will simply die, unresponded to and unreturned.

<<Chill, Kirk. You're letting a little power go to your head. >>

Joan

who has had the dubious honor of a bounced post or two.
