I deleted the original request, but someone asked about Voyageurs Park. We kayaked there last year, the week before Memorial Day, mainly on the eastern end. There was just a sprinking of motorboats, an occasional houseboat, and few campers til Friday, when it got very busy. The official campsites are opulent - huge, often with gravel tent pads, picnic table, and food locker. You can also camp anywhere else, with a few restrictions. They began requiring permits (free and unlimited) last year. The birdwatching was fantastic. If the wind is right, you can smell the paper mill in Intl Falls. We didn't see another paddle craft the whole week. We're going back this year with the sail rig (Klepper/Balogh).
