Arthur Hebert and Larry Koenig arrived at Port Aransas on 3/14/03 after paddling 550 miles from Grand Isle, Lousiana (departed 2/9/03), on their 4,000 mile 7 month paddle around the Gulf of Mexico. They were met by Mark Arnold, hosted to dinner at his Mark's father's house, and then provided free lodging at the Railway Inn Suites. Gretchen Arnold arranged for all the publicity and her parents provided the lodging. Arthur and Larry were joined the next day by Ken Johnson to paddle 20 miles along the coast from Port Aransas to Bob Hall Pier. Group dinner at Ken's house that night, another night's lodging at the Railway Inn Suites, and then they debark to paddle Sunday the next 20 mile leg down Padre Island.
