I was working on my kayak in the basement, came upstairs to check emails, replied to your thread, and went to make a cappuchino, and noticed there was no hot water. My wife went to check laundry, opened the stairs door and asked why I had water all over the basement floor!!?? There was water pouring out of the hot water heater, so we had to shut if off. Anyways, just a reminder to never leave electrical tools (or even regular tools) on the basement floor, if only even for a few minutes.
