Steve,
My usual paddling route is south out of Newport Harbor. Can you tell me
where you had your communion with nature? I don't usually go too far south,
as I'm still getting used to my new boat.

About 1/4 miles southeast of Crystal Cove at a place my topo map identifies
as "Rocky Bight". On the map you will see two reef structures separated by
an 80 meter gap. That gap is the cove we herded the deer into.
