I get it too, every time I take my Chesapeake 17 out - everything from a thumbs up from someone on a large sailboat to guys coming up to examine every inch and ask me myriad questions. The "big 3" and a whole lot more. But you know, I still don't mind. As this board will attest, kayakers like to talk about their boats and their sport - and wooden boat builders like to talk about their boats, their sport, and their craft.
