I avoid this trouble by having inexpensive rotomolded plastic Prijon and
storing it under open sky in a yacht-club. 2-piece paddle fits in a trunk.
Nobody knows then, whether I screw up or how often :-)... Local guys have
already opened the season, but I'll wait a little bit. No such thing like
ice here in PNW, just not warm enough for me. I've heard that fibeglass and
kevlar degrade much more under UV exposure, than polyethilene.
Alex.

Hey Alex,
PE will suffer on UV exposure as well, but not so fast.
But take care, your prijon got also non-PE-plastic contents and THIS suffer
on UV exposure lots more. Depending on the type of prijon kayak, you may got
a plastic piece where your rudder gets fixed. These parts, so far its no
metall, will get harder and harder and break someday and you will be soooo
surprised because the PE is quite okay. if there is a chance to store it
under some shed, do it.

all the best
Jochen
