Before flying with any kayak, you should re-check the baggage limitations on each airline. My wife and I purchased tickets on Delta in January for a flight on 2/28 and return on 3/9 from Los Angeles, CA to Atlanta, GA. At the time we were informed that we were allowed 2 checked bags each and 1 carry-on. When we were checking in at the airport with a total of 3 checked bags, we were informed that we were lucky we had purchased the tickets in January. The new rules that went into effect 2/1 stated that no bag could weigh more than 50 pounds without a hefty excess baggage charge.. Since we bought the tickets before that rule we were exempt this ONE time.
