There was recently in the past some suggestion for an expedition lay-up in the style of British boats instead of a kevlar standard construction that may be too light. What goes into a heavier kevlar lay-up? Is it just another layer of kevlar? Is carbon used in the reinforcement? How does a builder choose between using carbon vs Kevlar in select areas of the kayak? Is there a selected reinforcement? How is the deck handled? Are there some approaches that may be better than others? Thanks. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
