There are a couple of manufacturers of composite surfing kayaks. I seem to remember Mike Johnson, Dick Wold, and Jester as some of the manufacturers. 1. Are these more "durable" in surf than standard sea kayaks? 2. If so what is the difference in the construction of these composite surf kayaks? 3. Could a sea kayak be built with the same techniques without being really heavy?
