Hi all, I just spoke with Larry and Arthur again. They will be departing from Galveston, Texas Wednesday morning. We have been able to line up some media interest, so if you are in the Houston area watch for news coverage over the next few days, especially Wednesday. If any of you in the area want to contact the news media and reinforce that Texans are interested in their progress, I would love to hear from you directly, and I can provide phone numbers. I could use the help, frankly. Some of the media folks sound really interested and some seem to see it as a "Louisiana-only" story. Maybe they need to know how many sea kayakers are all over the country. We got statewide coverage when they departed, but Houston is the #10 TV market in the country and it would be great to get as much attention as possible. On a more personal note, Larry has gotten into the space where he is not sure what day it is. Lucky him! I remember being off on expeditions and having to sit down and figure that out. Also, he says he had a hard time the first week but now he has good callouses and his arm muscles are really building up. (I bet his wife is enjoying that on their visits. I won't go any further with this line....LOL!) Arthur was proud of me for fixing my skeg myself, so that made me feel good. They sound just wonderful, and I am so proud of them.
