Hi Nick,

I personally have not been to Lancaster Sound, but I have met people that
have been. Based on my recollection the best way to get up there is via
Iqualuit, Nunavut. There are several commercial airlines that go to the
capital via Toronto, Montreal, Yellowknife or Ottawa. From Iqualuit you
would likely have to charter a flight. There are at least 2 or 3 charter
companies that fly out of Iqualuit.

I think I would go with your feathercraft.

If you want to get there via water there are marine transportation depots at
Hay River NWT and Churchill Manitoba. Canadian coast guard stations in
Inuvik, Hay River NWT or Ottawa, Ontario may be able to help point you in
the right direction as well.

Lancaster Sound is a very unique, diverse and special place - kind of like a
nature oasis in the middle of the high Canadian Arctic. It comes highly
recommended, for beluga, norwhale, walrus etc viewing.

Happy paddling,
:)
