Greetings paddlers, I have a question to those who may have paddled in British Columbia's Gulf Islands. I am planning on doing a 6 day trip in the Mayne and Saturna Island area. I read somewhere that the tide floods and ebbs in a southerly direction through Tumbo Channel - adjacent to Cabbage Island and Tumbo Island. Evidently it is an anomolie that occurs there. Is this true? Does anybody have an experience with this? I am also open to suggestions for the trip. :-) Thanks, Jim Meldrum Slave Lake, Alberta (where it is snowing and the paddling opportunities are indoor only) *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
