Have an upcoming trip and would appreciate any suggestions for airport
reading.

If you can find it - "Kayak Full of Ghosts" by Lawrence Millman. It is
out of print but can often be found through Amazon.com or on eBay. It is
a collection of Inuit tales, some as short as a few paragraphs and none
longer than a few pages. Easy airport reading except that people will
look at you when you laugh out loud at stories about the man whose penis
hung down to his knees or the voice in the shitpile or the guy who got
all the girls by impressing them with his ability to shoot narwals in a
really unusual manner. There are also a lot of non-sexual/scatalogical
stories. They give a really good impression of what life must have been
like for the first kayakers. I had to buy a bunch as gifts because
everyone I loaned the book to refused to return it.
