John, I have found mail2web (mail2web.com) to very reliable while away. Like some of the other suggestions, it's a Web-based POP mail client. You simply give it the account name and password of your existing account(s) and it retrieves the messages from your in-box to a web page which allows you to read and reply. It's free with minimal ads. You can store your settings under a screen name for future use.
