 Im looking for plans for a boat like the old Folbot Super
 which was 17 ft X 37 in beam {or larger}
 Im not finding anything near that type of craft

 Im needing a wide stable platform type of boat, which will
 carry larger loads.
 ClarkCraft has a set, but is only 16ft.
 Where can one locate a near close set of plans??
 Boat will be sailed, and used on extensive lenght trips.
 Even Stitch n glue boats, Im not finding nothing close to the beam
 I need and length.
 Would anyone by chance have plans or tracings for a Folbot Super?
 Or even a older Klepper.
 Im fact I intend on building two larger beam boats... {for a extended
 trip coastal}
 Im highly partial to skin boats, as Ive used them for almost 50 years.
 But the lack of larger beam skin boats is almost nil....
 Any thoughts??
 Sam

I've got the frame to a 1930 Klepper hanging in my living room if you
decide
you need offsets or tracings.

The closest that I've heard of (commercially available) is Nautiraid II 500:
16'.5" length x  37" inflated width (33.5" deflated width).

There are "crutches" :-), pretty popular among kayak sailors now -
outriggers. Will slow you down, decrease maneurability, create a drag (TAD
counter-balanced with a leeboard), additional problems with integrity of
crossbar and floats, but would render beam width non-important.
