The best deal I've found on watches for kayaking have been at www.campmor.com. I bought a Timex there a couple of years ago, on sale for less than $20.00. I clipped if to my PFD where it stays for year round paddling in Lake Michigan. No problems. Has stop watch function etc. Great paddling watch. I just checked their recent "sale" email I get, none listed--probably will be in a week or so. Their catalog has some on sale.
