I suggest posting your question on the Inland Sea Kayakers forum at http://www.isk.canoe-kayak.org. Several people in ISK have paddle Isle Royale. I haven't because I've heard there are a lot of power boats and sailboats there taking up campsites, and also that all campsites must be reserved in advance, resulting in some possibly tight schedules.
