I have seen a couple of sources recommending the use of thigh support to
relieve sciatica symptoms of leg numbness and that damnable pegleggin'... I
have this same problem, but attribute it to my probable slipped disk. I think
Seal Line makes a thigh support inflatable pillow for this.

At any rate, I am curious just how this works to relieve these symptoms. Does
it really work, and just how does it?

Thanks!

My husband has the seal line seat and likes it a lot.
He is now using it uninflated and it gives him the
needed support.

yup.

could be a placebo, not sure. I speculate it is distributing weight
over a larger surface- less point loads.

A paddle float does the job and yes it works,I wouldn't paddle without
it.
