>Aquashell is a Malden Mills trade name and they rate it at 2.5mm >neoprene equivalent. Methinks Mountain Surf is, umm, "exaggerating" I have a Mountain surf farmer john that I really like. Whether it is equivalent to 2.5 or 3mm ???????? Who can really tell? I wear caprelene underneath and when emersed, because of the tight fit, water moves in very slowly and does not slosh through the suit so it warms up reasonably well. It is very comfortable in the boat- moves well when you paddle. It does not stink, dries quickly. For some reason when temps get warmer I don't seem to sweat in it much or at least get that clammy feel I used to get with neoprene? It is not protection for conditions that require a dry suit but I like it better that neoprene suits I have had and combined with Chota mukluks makes a great paddling suit for cold days and cool water.
