Funny you bring up spotted owls, a good friend of mine just left for a 12 week spotted owl count in the Sierra Nevada's. No airplanes for them, she gets up at 2am every morning and tramps through the woods calling the owls in and bands them. Please, let's not start the name calling and generalizations on this list.
