Man, If your going to spend that much money on a boat,  if your wallet 
is as empty as mine, you'd better go for a boat that you're going to be 
able to paddle for a long, long time - not one that you will grow out of 
next year.  So even if you had to "grow" into your boat a little, by all 
means, I say get one of the Valley's.  Of course the Romany is a great 
boat too, get what you'll like for years to come.

By the way, if you haven't already, A great way to fast forward your 
paddleing skills is to take a good ACA or BCU (I hear the BCU is the 
better of the two when it comes to kayaking) paddling course.   THey're 
a little more expensive, but I learned more in the two days it took me 
to take the ACA level 1 and Level 2 paddle courses then I did in the two 
years I had paddle previous to that combined.
