It looks like I'll be fortunate enough to do a bunch of paddling in Maine over the upcoming month. This will include day paddles in areas from Portland (in the south) to Rockland (in the north). Some instruction will be in the mix, along with rescue and rough water practice. I'm having a bit of a hard time getting a handle on the best set of paddling gear to bring along with me (or purchase, if not already in the paddling closet). Water temps are around 57-59 F at that time, judging from what I've been told and from the buoy data off shore from Portand. Air temps are likely to be in the 70s. Any suggestions on a set of paddlewear to bring along with me?
