Totally smart ...

But if practical, a good dog sleeping in the car overnight is an added
deterrent to thieves...the noise is very unpleasant to theives, and the
breakage of windows to get into the car is a rare event if a protective dog
is there.

(Does not apply of course in daytime and hot weather...)
