I was able to get to a Messabout recently in Englewood Florida. A lot of standard boats and builders were there. A guy named Brent Karlson had a folder {2place} he intends to put into production in the fall of 2003. The prototype was in the lines of a Klepper/Folbot.. Had lots of fancy wood in the frame and excellent finish. Hull was a Hyplalon material. I briefly spoke to him and got his email ect. Apparently he is in the Tampa area. The boat appeared excellent in construction, although I was not able to paddle it as others were ahead of me. Has anyone heard of this builder?? He said he is new in the "bus" He claims the boats will go fully equipped for $1200 Just wondering if anyone else has info on him.
