A while back I asked the same question about numb legs (Peg Legging), having a serious problem. After 20 minutes it was very uncomfortable, even in the boat, and only got worse after getting out, or trying to. I got the recommendation regarding leg support and mentioned Seal Line's inflatable pad. Someone recommended using my paddle float. I cannot understand how this works, but I've used it on my last two paddles and remain amazed at how this simple change made the peg legging all but gone, and changed my paddling comfort tremendously! I put together a little device to hold it in place but allow it to break away when needed (a plastic cable tie holder that snaps into a closed ring holds a caribineer that is attached to a line spanning the length of my paddle float). You can see the attachment point just in front of my seat on my webpage in the Long Island section (see link below) I am still playing with optimal air inflation: it requires very little air. (Bill L: I will be calling you in the next couple weeks to get together for an evening paddle!).
