I believe it had to be late 1999 or so (when they merged)...I have one of the early Harmony skirts that I bought in early 2000 from my local dealer and remember asking him, "who the heck are these Harmony people". Did the merger occur at the same time BofI bought the companies? I can't find the date in my records. Does anybody remember what year the Bank of Islam bought Perception and Dagger? __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Not Sure who BofI is. I just know that Watermark made the mistake of setting up aquisition meetings with the owners of both Perception and Dagger, at the same time, at the same place (Atlanta I think). If you don't know, those two have had, and to my knowledge still have, really bad feelings for each other. The result was that they had to hold two seperate meetings in two different parts of the Hotel (The Peachtree, I think) to keep the the owners of the two companies apart :-). Asthey say, the rest is history. A major company came in, took ver the two smaller companies, and as a result, Dagger and Perception no longer make a very good boat in opinion. > >Shawn > >"Matt Broze" <mkayaks_at_oz.net> wrote: >>Perhaps Sea Kayaker suffers the curse of precognition >as I don't think Dagger and Perception merged (as separate divisions of >Watermark) until much later.
