[Paddlewise] Voyageurs National Park?

We are in the planning stages of a kayaking trip in late September to
Voyageurs National Park.

I found one outfitter that works in that area - but do any PaddleWisers
have experience paddling this area? Would seem to be a good mix -
northwoods during fall colors, big water (by our landlocked standards!), no
need to portage, etc Only drawback (at least from a solitude standpoint)
is the area is open to motor use so you may encounter occasional fishing
boats. This time of year, numbers should be down - especially so if we
spend most of our time in the more remote areas of the park (Canadian side?).

Thanks for all comments and suggestions.
Keith
