[Paddlewise] Weiss Inc subscriber - was Application

[moderator insertion - we currently have a minimum of 4 virus infected
subscribers, one in klamath falls using charter, another at gci.net, 
and a third at shaw cable.  The weiss inc infection has tentatively
been and is working on dealing with it.  It's the virus/worm that 
is inserting the From: addresses.  It's not personal...]

The e-mail in question bore my address, but it did not come from me! I don't 
have any idea who it came from or why the sender decided to use my address. I 
have a MAC and have never had a problem with any virus. What's more, 
today--July 1-- is the first day I have even been online since June 28, so the 
mysterious sender of June 30 probably picked up the address from an earlier posting.
I am not aware of any virus that would send out mail from my MAC when I'm not 
even online!
