[Paddlewise] the Adirondacks?

We are looking for help with accommodations, put-ins, and maps for a trip to
the Adirondacks the days of Aug 7-16, or some period there of. We are
looking for a place that is reasonable for 2 people and close enough to
water that we can paddle most of every day we are there. Being teacher we
have little money but lots of need for a few days before school demands our
return on Aug 18th. Anyone with links to nice places or any ideas of where
we might go would be wonderful. We are adverse to camping in 90+ degree heat
and mosquitoes that might carry us and our boats off.

Any help will be appreciated.
