I'm planning a driving trip in Europe with one of my daughters soon. Mostly we will be doing the tourist thing, but I hope to see some of the European kayaks that we don't normally see in the U.S. as well. My 25 year old daughter is a much more seasoned European traveler than I, but we are both worried about finding accommodations in the busy season (which is, unfortunately, the only time we can do it together). We will be staying in hotels or hostels when we can find them but also being prepared to camp if the campgrounds aren't also full. If anyone on this list might be willing to put us up or let us tent in their back yard for a night (if accommodations are scarce) I would appreciate it if they would contact me off list. The ground itinerary is not fixed and the recent hot weather there may drive us north or into the mountains more if it continues. The rough plan now is Paris, Southern Germany, Western Austria, Croatia, Northern Italy, and SE France before returning to Paris.
