260 miles nonstop race from San Marcos down San Marcos and Guadelupe rivers to Seadrift on Gulf of Mexico with 100 hours deadline. 111 boats started on June 14, 87 finished. The race was somewhat easier than in the previous year: higher water levels, cooler with some thunderstorms, quiet San Antonio Bay. Beautiful scenery: full moon at night and steaming river. I just finished a first version of my safari report with pictures and video clips. A story from my team captain will be ready soon to give somewhat different perspective. http://www.frii.com/~uliasz/wayfarer/tws2003.htm Marek *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
