They are not on the small side. Swellies 10 are really 10.  I am 9.5 USA
wider than average, I think. I've tried Swellies 9 - fits tight but still
could be worn.  Swellies 10 is definitely loose for my foot, even with a
thick sock (which has to be thick, actually). Don't know whether I like it
or not, since haven't bought yet :-).
