I'm told the HF trailers use some strange bearing sizes, which are more
costly to replace.  At the replacement prices I've heard, a more costly
trailer looks attractive.

Ask anyone who has ever pulled a trailer any distance--bearing
replacements are a fact of life.  (Service your bearings at least at
the start and end of every season)
