Not sure where I heard this - or whether it has been offered here before, but the suggestion was to simply apply Rain-X (the stuff you apply to windshields) to your regular prescription glasses - they'll shed rain/water droplets very easily. Of course, didn't Elton John have specs with wipers? A bit more extreme.
