The journalists have been casual about the boat description, this one says a three metre double kayak, the last one said a seven metre boat, with a 50 metre mast! Notwithstanding the usual innaccuracies from reporters, this sounds like an interesting trip to follow. There is probably a Japanese website for the trip.
