The individual in question isn't know to exaggerate (a huge problem/issue in the paddling community, listservers, etc. - I know, as I follow-up on stories for Sea Kayaker Magazine, so have to check out details and confirm observations, etc). I was simply reporting what he said. I well imagine the swell was high.
