[Paddlewise] Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving and give thank for:

rolling waves and breaching whales,

blue sky and soaring eagles,

crashing surf and roaring campfires,

great fathoms of deep waters and shallow clear tidal inlets,

the hot tropical sun and the cool of the artic midnight sun.

the wind that makes us strong, and the waves that teach us humility,

What ever magic that floats a boat upon the sea, what ever mystery calls us
out into the midst of wind and waves

and above all give thanks that countless ages ago somewhere on a distant
shore, someone unnamed by time, placed animal skins upon a wooden frame and
ventured out to sea. Truly we paddle in his wake.
