Hi

A while back surfing the web I came across a site -if I remember
correct by a native american association- where a book/video combo
was offered about traditional ways of canoe building.
Somehow, I am unable to find the site again.
Maybe a fellow paddlewiser can help me out, maybe one of you guys
knows the book/video and can comment on it.

I would be also interested to learn about other video/DVD material
fitting in one way or the other into the picture of
traditional/historic canoeing/kayaking use/building etc.

Your help an d input is greatly appreciated

Ulli

I can't help you specifically, but do a search on "David Gidmark".
He's well know and respected in the field of birch bark canoe
construction.

For kayaks, check the QajaqUSA web site for sources and links to
other web sites: http://www.qajaqusa.org/.

The links page will get you to Harvey Golden and David Zimmerly's web
sites among others.
