B. Douglas Jensen" <bdouglas_at_joimail.com> asked: >> With all this discussion about jackets and now dry suits, what dry suits does anyone recommend since I think I'm in the market for one so I can paddle places like Tomales Bay this winter without as much concern. >> Kokatat makes very good drysuits in several versions. For day paddles, non-breathable suits are OK -- expect to have totally soaked insulation at the end of an active day. For multi-day trips, that gets old, so consider a Gore-Tex suit. The price is steep ( $700 - $800 or so) but worth it. Get a relief zip and Goretex booties (not latex at the ankles). Used mine today. -- Dave Kruger Astoria, OR *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
