Subject: [Paddlewise] MSR Dromedary water bags

Have just bought two of them (10 liter regular, not Dromlite). Great thing,
very compact. Unfortunately :-) I decided to check them up for leaks, and
here it was, fly in my ointment. Both of them leak through the thread of
smaller cap (big-mouth cap was fine). One droplet every 2-3 seconds. I
leaned
full bags vertical against the wall so that cap was in the lower end -
didn't
sit on them or anything. Was it my bad luck, or just nobody paid attention
before?
Alex.
Hi,
I have several of the 10 liter bags. The caps with a smaller cap in the
center didn't leak,
but are not handy to use. MSR makes a faucet cap acessory that works well.
Neither the bags nor this cap have leaked in over 1000 miles of Baja
paddling where water is scarce, not to mention other trips and bouncing
around in the back of a pickup truck. Removing a cap to pour can spill
water. The faucet cap can be hooked up to a shower hose or a drinking
tube as a bonus. The bags are a bit pricey, and should just come with the
faucet caps.
