They've switched lately to Urethane hull (I think since 2001), so 2000 model should be heavier and could have other differencies (ribs?), with slower assembly as well.. You better phone them and ask this question, i.e. when did they switch to new skin. But, if price/condition ratio is good, I wouldn't be upset much with an old model too.
