Probably the best thing to do is leave them be. You will be hard 
pressed to apply a better finish than what comes on the paddle from the 
factory. The dents to really hurt the paddle, filling them won't make 
the paddle any stronger. Epoxy or varnish won't really make them look 
any better. If you end up using it in the next paddling season you will 
end up putting more dents in the paddle. Eventually you will get enough 
that you will want to refinish the paddle. Deal with the existing dents 
then.
