Bill,

Mine are about as simple as you can get.  I use metal sawhorses ( folding)
with a 2X4 frame supporting a cradle made out of carpet.  The cradle keeps the
kayak from being knocked off  the sawhorses when bumped.  You can store a
kayak deck up or deck down as well as on edge.  Not very elegant, but they
work.
