Dear Paddlewisers; Just wanted to say thank you for your response's regarding my search for kayak stands! What's amazing to me, is, with all the companies out there, who make 10 different types of kayaks, paddles, pfd's, helmets, rescue gear, car racks, kayak trailers, sails, gps equipment, clothing, and so on, there's seems to be only one company who makes a kayak stand! Sounds like a business opportunity to me and I'm not even a business entrepreneur! Kayak stands can be found at Martin Creek (http://www.martincreek.com/), which is operated by a nice young couple... I met them a couple of years ago at ECCKF when I purchased a really nice nylon paddle/carry bag. -- cheers, Stephen *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s). I'll also put in a mention for the folks at Talic. www.talic.com They offer an array of wooden cradle stands of different configurations, a different type of sling set up that allows one person to 'hang' a boat easily, and a set of collapsable cradle stands that break down and can fit in most kayak storage bulkheads. I have no current nor past financial relations ship with Tim and the folks at Talic. I do own a set of their wooden stands that my wife & I use and love... we can easily go from car top to cradle stand, work on our boats, and wheel the racked boats about our smallish horse-shed converted to a garage. -Will *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
