I would like to thank the paddlewise membership, and especially Patrick Martin, for their help in contributing ideas on releasing a stuck two piece paddle. I have tried WD-40 for weeks, hot water on the female side of the connection, my son, he is 6' 2 and I am 6 ft, twisting on both ends. Failure I went out today and bought a rubber hammer. Thanks Patrick for the Idea. Gently tapping on the joint with a rubber hammer and rotating the paddle. After ten minutes of tapping, my wife came home and we tried to twist the paddle and it moved slightly! We grabbed a hold of both ends and really turned, more movement. Any way we got the paddle unstuck, All kind of muck in the ends. Cleaned them out with WD-40. By the way it is 51 degrees here in Houston, and rain. No way I could the paddle to below freezing temperatures.
