Well this story comes straight from the "Don't try this at home" department :) This happened before I retired from the Air Force. Summer of 2002. I was stationed in Northern Japan where sea kayaks were rare. There were no partners to paddle with (Towards the end of my tour a school councilor moved to the base that had a kayak, so for a short period I had a paddling partner). I should start at the beginning of the story.
