Watch out for that Newfoundland Screech rum! It'll get you every time..........

Just about anywhere you paddle in Canada, you'll find the local temperament to be far more civil and friendly than in the US. Just be polite, and landing will not be an issue. At least it never has been for me in Nova Scotia or Newfoundland. In fact, you may get invited to stay at someone's home if the weather isn't optimal for camping.
